VOW relies on contributions from individuals who care deeply about giving survivors of domestic violence a voice to effect change. Contributions of any size are greatly appreciated and represent an investment in ending violence against women. A commitment of just $5-10 a month ($60-120/year) would make a huge difference in our ability to sustain our unique organization.
$100 contributions cover the cost of a survivor attending a meeting (stipend to survivor, child care, meeting space, staff time, materials);
$250 covers the cost of training a survivor in public speaking, advocacy or meeting facilitation;
$500 covers the cost of a healing expressions committee meeting or workshop, which supports the healing and empowerment of 6-8 survivors so they can be involved in influencing policy;
$1,000 allows us to send a survivor to a national conference to represent the needs of battered women and make connections to women addressing similar issues in other states;
$2,500 covers our office rent and utilities for one month;
$5,000 will underwrite the costs of special trainings for 8-10 survivors in public speaking, organizing, understanding systems, or participating in a diverse organization.
